Open Claude
Log in to your Claude account.

Go to Connectors
Go to Customize → Connectors.

Add a custom connector
Click Add custom and enter the name Alta MCP.

Add the MCP URL
Paste the URL:
https://api.altahq.com/mcp5
Authenticate
Click Connect and sign in with your Alta account.
Cursor

Open MCP settings
Open the command palette (
Cmd + Shift + P on macOS, Ctrl + Shift + P on Windows/Linux) and search for “MCP: Add Server”.2
Add the server
Select HTTP as the transport type, enter Alta as the server name, and paste the URL:

Authenticate
Cursor will open a browser window. Sign in with your Alta account and click Allow.
VS Code
